About the Commentary

If you’re familiar with my name and various rantings, then you’re either a friend (poor you) or family (uh, hi) or you drifted in from the intraweb.

Welcome.

I’m Syazwina Saw, Malaysian born and bred, biracial by ethnicity (Chinese and Malay, and thus an anomaly to the strictly politically-correct), a writer by passion and a political analyst in my dreams.

Given my lack of training but my certain need to be heard (or at least to toss my voice into the noisy crowd), this blog will be where I give my take on local and international politics, guided by the week’s headlines and my own little Twitter-verse.

You’ll notice that I have another blog, Syazwina Rants, which originated from your typical teenage angst and matured into the subtle kind of narcissism that usually surfaces in adults in their early twenties. That’s where I get selfish or personal or nostalgic, depending on my general mood.

This is where I muse about the issues that usually simmer over a good mug of teh tarik, had with a solid group of vocal uncles in a warong.
